Sheer, sequined and metallic textures seem to be the theme of Lyle Ibañez in her summer collection. Pieces in shiny or sparkly numbers ruled her catwalk while more structured pieces paired with flowing black pieces along with ruched and pleated tops and bottoms also made an appearance. The sheer fabric trend that have been inspired from the catwalks of mens wear in Paris seems to have started trickling down here in the south. It's a sure sign that Filipino designers are starting to take cues from international collections and applying it on their own without losing the Filipino touch. Lucky for the trendier set, we shall then have our local versions of the European trends that are sure to be more acceptable in such an unforgiving climate like here in the Philippines. Add that with Lyle Ibañez's ingenious and glamorous summerwear, then were off to a shiny and trendier summer that is sure to be at par with the world's best.
