Who would have known that what started out as a joke on Twitter between 3 bloggers would eventually turn into a reality. The Bookworm Brigade was that joke; an idea of sharing books between fellow book lovers and voracious readers alike. It's amazing how people can get together and meet new friends through the power of books! It just shows that books really do take you to places.

Last June 30, 2012, Jonver, Cariza, and I turned Moonleaf Maginhawa into a mini book sale. People from all over Manila and beyond gathered for one day of books, friends, and a cup of Moonleaf tea. I honestly thought there would only be a few who would go but the turn out of people who supported our cause was amazingly many! It's just really inspiring to see and meet people who share the same passion as you.

Another awesome thing is that we were able to share books not only with fellow book lovers but also with children who don't have any books at all! To all those who donated books for Global Shapers, thank you, thank you, and thank you so much! It's insane how people can get together and do something good for people who need help. And the good thing is, it won't be the last Bookworm Brigade! We've talked with some people from Moonleaf and it looks like we're going to make this a monthly thing! So if I were you, you better get your books ready because the next one is definitely going to be soon! Watch out for it and I can assure you it's going to be more awesome than ever.

"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me."
C. S. Lewis

But if that was tea from Moonleaf, C.S. Lewis might take back his words. HAHAHA

Thanks to Moonleaf for supporting our cause!
